You may have already figured out that my name is Darlene. I am a daughter, wife, mother, grandma and friend. I could think of more adjectives but that is enough for now. I graduated from Nursing School in 1982 which is the same year I got married to the love of my life, Eric. Eric is the most energetic person I know and is non-stop motion! He is a persister, achiever, energizer all wrapped up into one get-er-done man! We have two amazing daughters who have brought so much to our lives!
We have been married for 29 years!!
This is a picture of me in Hawaii with my girlfriends in March of 2011.
Sorry girls, I cropped you out of the photo!
This picture was taken by my husband as he was about to leave for backpacking 7/22/11.
I'm helping him figure out his new camera.
Part of my growing up years was spent on a ranch in southern Oregon. We spent a fair amount of time shooting ground squirrels as they caused all kinds of trouble for irrigation ditches! (I don't think I could do that now . . . yuck!) Last summer when I visited my parents in Washington we went out shooting. This is my dad's 22 pistol. Its fun to shoot and I did hit the paper plate . . . but not the one I was aiming at . . . the one next to it. Oh well!!
